It’s hard to believe that its been close to two years since I was first awarded Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) in the Enterprise Mobility – Identity and Access Management category.
Due to changes in the renewal process and the MVP program, I’ve had quite a long honeymoon period as an MVP. This has meant that I’ve had the privilege of attending two MVP Summits at Microsoft Headquarters in Redmond, Washington before having to go through the renewal process.
During the last two years though, the MVP program has seen numerous changes in categorisations and the associated criteria for being awarded MVP status. That has meant that whilst back in 2017 there were numerous Identity and Access brethren in the program that is no longer the case.
So when the confirmation landed in my inbox overnight I felt honoured to be recognised and renewed. My observations at the beginning of 2019 still hold true and with visibility into some of the road map that is coming from Microsoft I look forward to being part of the MVP Community for 2019/20.
